At the signing ceremony, Dr. Chang Xiaowei, Director of PROYA Shanghai Hair Care R&D Center, and Professor Zhang Yan from the Shanghai Center for Systems Biomedicine, SJTU, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective parties. Subsequently, Hou Yameng and Liu Huanxi, together with other distinguished guests, unveiled the plaque for the "Scalp Health Joint Laboratory". officially opening a new chapter in the collaboration of both parties. This also marks the first step for PROYA's hair care research and development in the field of basic research and cooperation with universities.

PROYA Shanghai Hair Care R&D Center focuses on in-depth research and practical applications of the scalp microbiome. It brings together top industry talent and world-leading testing equipment, dedicated to developing effective hair care products that address various scalp issues. The microecology research team at Shanghai Jiao Tong University is also continuously focusing on scalp microbiome and scalp health, utilizing their self-established scalp microbiome research technology platform to conduct multiple scalp microbiome projects. “The Scalp Health Joint Laboratory” co-established with PROYA is precisely based on the aforementioned technology platform, being the first in China (among enterprises) to adopt metagenomic sequencing technology for the study of the scalp microbiome of Chinese individuals. In this collaboration, both parties will jointly focus on the scalp health issues of the Chinese population, leveraging their respective strengths to overcome key technical challenges. They will delve deeply into the mysteries of the scalp microbiome and provide innovative solutions to address the scalp health problems of Chinese people.

Notably, the PROYA Shanghai Hair Care R&D Center, in collaboration with the scalp microbiome research expert team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, recently presented an innovative research outcome titled "Comparative Analysis of Different Sampling Techniques, Sampling Depths, and LC-MS Ionization Modes in Untargeted Scalp Surface Lipidomics" at the IFSCC (International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists) Conference. This work received high recognition from experts and also laid a foundation for subsequent lipidomics research.

PROYA has established R&D centers in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, Hongqiao, Shanghai, and Paris, France, and is continuously improving its global R&D innovation system. In July this year, CORRECTORS, the professional laboratory skincare brand under PROYA, joined hands with Beijing Technology and Business University to establish a joint laboratory. Focusing on pore issues, it aims to convert research findings into product advantages through in-depth studies.

This collaboration with Shanghai Jiao Tong University is another proactive exploration by PROYA in the deep industry-university-research integration. In the upcoming close collaboration, both parties will deeply integrate their respective advantageous resources and jointly commit to the efficient implementation of basic research and application transformation.
